POWERBOOST

Description

The POWERBOOST is a compact, high-pressure coolant delivery system designed to improve machine cycle times and assist chip control. High pressure coolant systems are increasingly being used in small to medium machining centers, as well as lathes, Swiss screw machines and drilling machines. A machine using high-pressure coolant can produce more parts per shift while also helping to break chips and eliminate birdnesting of long stringy chips.

Working cycle
  1. The low-pressure transfer pump transfers the contaminated coolant from the machine tool tank to the PowerBoost system.
  2. The duplex filter housing separates fine particles and foreign matter from the coolant and protects the high pressure pump from damage.
  3. The filtered coolant flows into the unit’s storage tank.
  4. The high-pressure pump feeds the machine tool with cleanmetalworking lubricant through one of or more of the switchable outputs.
  5. The Siemens PLC and HMI touch screen allows control of the Powerboost system and displays the main operating data of the system.
